I am Carolyn Almonte, a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW-C) in the state of Maryland. I graduated with my Masters of Social Work from New York University in 2017. Since then, I have worked as a bilingual mental health therapist in Montgomery County, MD.
Most of my experience is working with youth, young adults and families. I have experience addressing and treating a wide array of issues, but most of my expertise lies within the following issues: difficulty adjusting during transitional periods of life, general life stressors, depression, grief, anxiety, family conflict, and complex trauma. I know that there is no single modality that works for everyone. Therefore, I use an integrative approach throughout the therapeutic process to help individuals and families reach a state of social-emotional wellness and stability.
I am passionate about advocating for youth and the importance of mental health services in academic settings. In my free time, I like to read, bake and travel.
My name is Alejandra Moreno, LMSW and I am a bilingual mental health therapist at the Seneca Valley Wellness Center. I obtained my B.A in Psychology at John Jay College of Criminal Justice and then received my MSW in 2020 from Fordham University Graduate School of Social Service in Lincoln Center. I’ve demonstrated an ability to provide emotional support and guidance to children, adolescents, victims of child abuse and neglect, throughout my career. Currently, my focus has been on working with children in a school setting providing individual or family therapy to help deal with emotional, social, cognitive, and behavioral problems that affect the child and the family.
My passion lies in providing mental health services to children and adolescents and advocating the importance of therapy in the Latino community.
I was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. I like to read, cook, and travel in my free time.
I am Erik Barrios, a social work consultant for True Connection Counseling. I obtained my BSW from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County and my MSW from the University of Denver. I have experience working with youth and their families by overseeing after school programs in Montgomery County. My primary role is to provide a trauma-informed approach when formulating curriculums that address mental health and substance use in our community.
With my free time, I enjoy being with my family and friends, swimming, and traveling.
